Cheryl Cleveland

Cheryl Cleveland-Kannianen is a local Raleigh resident with a passion for sharing music in civic settings. She is a member of Raleigh Area Flute Association (RAFA) and has participated in various RAFA and Soapstone flute choirs thru the years. As a flute soloist, she plays in local churches, retirement communities and for RDU holiday activities.  Drawing on her past experience as a Renaissance Reinactor, she especially enjoys playing at the Wake Forest Market – “because as people stroll through, it’s like being a modern day court musician.”  Cheryl’s Wake Forest Market programs feature a variety of genres including: Celtic, Traditional, Jazz, , Classic, Pop and more.

Her day job? She’s a Research Scientist for BASF in RTP. Her special connection to Wake Forest?  Her father attended seminary here many years ago.
